I don’t have many things made just for me. Mostly because the circumstances are not often ideal…it has to be the right project and the right artist. I was perusing the site, as I often do, and found the wire wrapped right made by DimensionalVision. I’ve seen my share of them not just on the web or on this site but at brick and mortar stores throughout my travels. I keep an eye out for them not just for myself by for loved ones. One of her wire wrapped rings immediately caught my eye and thought wow! Unique ( doubt in my mind) but I only like certain gemstone and what she was offering wasn’t of interest to me(despite the uniqueness). I happened to have some raw emeralds sitting around and I got the idea to ask if she would create a custom wire wrapped ring for me. To my surprise I received a quick reply and we exchanged a few emails…She “listened” to all of my funny ideas with patience and of course an artistic perspective. Ultimately, we agreed that I’d provide the raw emeralds and she’d wrap them in silver 925 wire. The project was underway and it was easier than I thought. It took a little while to complete but I wasn’t in a rush and I told her there was no time table…I just want the end result to be beautiful and unique. As I look at her work, on my ring finger, I can hardly contain how happy I am. The silver wire was a wonderful ideal because I’ve never seen a wire ring pop like this…it has a “bling” and brightness all its own. If the emeralds were first quality it would be absolutely incandescent. Recently, my girlfriend and I were out on the town, the ring garnered a lot of attention on its own which I guess is what I wanted. I think what I got was a work of art! Also, it was a pleasure to do business with DimensionalVision…she was professional and communicative throughout the whole process. I appreciated all of her attention to detail and made me feel well informed on a custom job from someone I’ve never met and is for me on the other side of the country. I would highly recommend any custom wire wrapping work done by her and I’ll certainly be back!
